Lucy Liu is the latest icon to join Shazam! Fury of the Gods as the villain Kalypso, the sister of Helen Mirren’s villain character Hespera.
The Shazam! the sequel is shaping up to be a decent movie with a crazy cast list such as Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, and more from the first movie all returning.
David F. Sandberg is also returning to direct the sequel to Shazam!.
The plot of Henry Gayden’s script is being kept very secretive. All that was revealed was that Liu will play the sister of Hespera.
Liu’s character is also said to be the second daughter of Atlas, one of the Titans of ancient Greece and one of the A’s in Shazam.
Fury of the Gods is set to release on June 2, 2023 and the movie will begin shooting in May.
