Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies Delayed

COVID19 has put a wrench in the wheel when it comes to a lot of content that was supposed to be released this year or early next year.

Black Widow’s prequel movie set after the events of Civil War was supposed to be released in May this year, however, due to COVID19, it has been pushed back a couple of times.

It had been pushed to November this year but has now been pushed back to May 7th 2021, in the process the other movies have been pushed back also.

Eternals is now set November 5th 2021. Shang-Chi has been delayed from May 7th to July 9th in 2021 also.

Moving on to the title of the article. Black Widow is now set for cinemas in less than 8 months now, but it’s looking very likely COVID19 will still be around then.

The projected Box Office numbers as always will be quite large, especially for a movie set in the universe we all love, in a time before Infinity War and Endgame. However, due to COVID, I think a lot of movies next year will be unfairly hit with the numbers.

With the virus still on a rampage, cinemas are going to struggle to maintain the numbers they originally do when it comes to movies like this.

I’m extremely excited for Black Widow and all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and completely understand the delays. It’s better to keep as many people as safe as possible in times like these.
