The movie has delivered one of the biggest opening weekends in cinematic history and is already well positioned to smash the $1 billion mark.

It comes as no surprise considering this is Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. His movies have been incredible financial successes, and Brand New Day appears to be no different.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films:

• Spider-Man: No Way Home – $1,921,426,073

• Spider-Man: Far From Home – $1,132,723,226

• Spider-Man: Homecoming – $880,978,185

For comparison, here’s how the previous live action Spider-Man films performed worldwide.

• The Amazing Spider-Man – $758,725,893

• The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – $716,934,779

• Spider-Man – $810,925,307

• Spider-Man 2 – $788,253,491

• Spider-Man 3 – $887,415,130

Tom Holland has been a massive success for Marvel. His films are the highest grossing live action Spider-Man movies, and Brand New Day looks set to continue that trend. The film has also been well received by both critics and audiences, making it a success on multiple fronts. It’s no surprise Marvel wanted another trilogy because Tom Holland’s Spider-Man simply prints money.

Of course, the box office is only one part of the story. Toys, clothing and other Spider-Man merchandise continue to fly off the shelves, adding even more value to one of Marvel’s biggest characters. It’s great to see Marvel bouncing back in the right way, especially after what felt like a strange year in 2025. If Brand New Day continues on its current trajectory, this could end up being one of the studio’s biggest success stories in recent years.
