Recently at CinemaCon, 20th Century brought a first look at the latest installment of the Predator franchise which is titled “Predator: Badlands”.
Elle Fanning came on stage to talk about her role in the film and what to expect from the film when it releases in theaters on November 7th.
Fanning stated, “Something unprecedented happens in the movie, and my character is not the one being chased. My character actually teams up with the Predator, and you get to see him in a whole new light.”
In the trailer that was shown to the audience, the footage, which was described as “bold and sweeping at times”, fans got to see Fanning’s character stat,e “You’re hunting something that can’t be killed”.

The film follows an outcast Predator and aims to answer the question of “What if the Predator were a good guy?” While we’ve seen Predators work with humans in the past within Aliens vs Predator and many of times in the comics, this feels like a good introduction to have this Predator be a good guy.
Originally, in The Predator movie, before that movie was absolutely trashed with reshoots, we were on the verge of seeing a couple of Predators helping the humans and even going as far as to be wearing some army camo gear.
In the trailer shown to the audience, we get to see the Predator go on a hunt across a bunch of gorgeous-looking planets with factions of humans trying to kill the Predator as well. It was also teased that we could see a post-apocalyptic Earth, too.
I have full faith that Dan Trachtenberg will deliver yet another classic film, as he delivered a classic with Prey. He knows these characters so well that I am excited to see a futuristic Predator film.
