Sony’s PlayStation Showcase Absolutely Sucked

Sony’s PlayStation Showcase aired on a live stream on Youtube and Twitch showcasing their upcoming video games releasing in the near future.

Normally Sony would come prepared with some massive games ready to be released so you’d expect this event to be very similar but it wasn’t anything remotely close to being amazing and up to Sony’s standard.

The games were either boring, trash, generic, or just simply uninteresting.

Described as a “competitive modern heist game where you team up to break into exotic locations and steal cargo”.

Helldivers 2

A third-person co-op shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios.

Immortals of Aveum

A new trailer for Ascendant Studio’s first-person magic shooter was published by EA and is due for a July release.

Ghostrunner 2

505 Games and One More Level revealed that Ghostrunner 2 will be coming to PC and consoles later this year.

Phantom Blade Zero

Quickfire action RPG Phantom Blade Zero is from a developer called Cruel Man Studio and debuted a trailer.

Sword of the Sea

From Giatn Squid Studios, the developer of Abzu brings us Sword of the Sea.

Due out this year, Croteam and Devolver Digital announced The Talos Principle 2.

Due out in 2024, Devolver Digital and Griz developer Nomada Studio announced Neva.

Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean

Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean is due for a 2024 release.

Square Enix rolled up with a game that is seemingly a Nintendo’s Splatoon rip-off.

The Plucky Squire comes with a 2023 release date.

A fun game that I’ve seen a couple of videos on, looks fun. Comes to console this year.

Epic and Remedy revealed the trailer for Alan Wake 2, with a release date of 17th October 2023.
