We’ve heard word that the next Star Wars movie will be out December 2022. A massive three years wait – but what do I want personally?
Well, a lot. The new trilogy has been less than impressive. The Force Awakens was A New Hope rehash. The Last Jedi was monumentally disappointing. Rise of the Skywalker I still have not saw yet, but my hopes are not exactly high right now. Christmas Eve I will finally be able to judge that.
Solo was average, underrated though. Rogue One was impressive. The Mandalorian has been the best series of 2019 in my opinion, so the stories, the talent, and the writers are there. Fallen Order, the PS4 game showed it can bring new heroes to the fold.
A new trilogy has circulated for months now – there’s only TWO things I want before the “Skywalker” saga truly ends. The Obi-Wan series which has officially been given the go-ahead, and a stand-alone Vader movie, which is highly unlikely. Even if certain sources are incorrectly claiming there will be a Disney+ series. If you believe those claims, think about the money Disney would make on a movie. It’s just not true.
For me, there’s so much to tell if we go back in time. More to the Old Republic. If it time jumps ahead then okay, but it needs to be something told in the comic books. We posted an article here three days ago. Any of those would be worth it.
The Jedi Civil War. Or even more interesting going all the way back to when force powers, and Jedi/Sith were first discovered. It’s been proven the possibilities for Star Wars are endless. Now the Skywalker saga is coming to an end, I’d like to see something new, fresh, and different. The Mandalorian has proved this year that good quality content can be dished out.
What do you want to see with the new potential trilogy? A special mention to the Old Republic trailer with the two brothers, that would have been fantastic as a live action movie. It just further proves my point.
