Wonder Woman 1984 to Release in Theaters and HBO Max on December 25th

For many of us, we didn’t know what would happen to any movie releasing this year after the global pandemic. We saw movies going to streaming services, some releasing in theaters, and many other movies delayed until next year.

Many productions/sets got shut down so no filming could take place but Wonder Woman 1984 was filmed pre-covid. But many fans, including myself, have asked, what will Wonder Woman 1984 do? Will it take the hit and release anyway and lose money as Tenet did? Will it be delayed until late next year?

Well today, fans and I got the answers we were looking for with the announcement that Wonder Woman 1984 will be coming to theaters (ones which are safe and open) and it will also debut on HBO Max.

Director Patty Jenkin has responded to a fan question of how long the movie is going to stay in theaters for and her response was “We plan to keep it in theaters for a long time”.

I personally think this is the best option. While the movie will make money in theaters (and potentially lose some), I do think releasing it on HBO Max for the world, the fans who are in lockdown or are choosing to stay away from places like theaters could watch it is a great idea.

HBO Max, Patty Jenkins, and the cast seem to truly care for the fans and I respect them for that. I can not wait until this movie releases and just gives people some entertainment.
