What I Liked

1. Cassian makes a plan to escape. He knows that the prison guards are scared and can not afford to be surprised again. When they bring in a new prisoner this is when Cassian wants to make an attempt to escape the prisoner. Cassian is brilliant when you think about it.

2. I do like the parallels between Cassian and Mon Mothma. When you look at it you’d see that Cassian is in prison, he’s being treated like dirt, forced to make parts for what I’m going to assume is the Death Star cause this is the period where that is still being constructed and then you have Mon Mothma who is living life in the Senate, has all these nice things, nice clothes, expensive jewelry, and cars. When you take another and a clean look at it, you’d see that both are imprisoned.

3. Kino is the voice of the people. Cassian tells him that he does this every day, it has to be him who speaks to the rest of the prison. I actually liked this simply because Cassian sees the potential in Kino, he knows how well-respected he is in the prison. He knows that Kino is the only one who can motivate the prisoners to escape.

What I Disliked

After all this, after the escape, they are at the finish line and Kino tells Cassian he can not swim. I think this is just lazy writing. If you are a prisoner, you’d jump in the water and allow someone to help you get over the finish line.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be the prison escape. It was actually planned really well. Each person in the workshop had their own part to play in the escape. It was great to witness the escape, while it was a really well-executed plan, some people did know that they would potentially be killed in the escape.

Standout Character

Obviously, I’m going to give this to Cassian. Not only did he get everyone on board for the escape, but he also gave Kino the motivation to give a speech, and a really good speech at that to the rest of the prison to escape.

Verdict

Overall a solid episode, with a great story, and fantastic action. I like how Cassian was the brains behind the escape whereas Kino was the voice. I didn’t like how easily Kino stopped escaping though. It felt like lazy writing for Kino if this is the last of him.
