Let's TalkMarvelMovies

Avengers Endgame Released Two Years Ago Today

Two years ago today, cinema changed forever, 10 years of movies all to conclude with one big event, Endgame.

I watched Endgame when it first released, I was in awe all the way through the movie, start to finish just gob-smacked at how insanely amazing it was, the CGI, the characters, and the story were perfect. In many scenes, I got chills when watching it.

Even today when I watch it I still end up with chills and of course, with a tear at the end of the movie with Iron Man. Iron Man’s big moment, defeating Thanos, saving the universe, and just being badass at it. Robert Downey Jr is Iron Man, no one else can or will live up to this role.

Obviously, the movie had more than one great moment, but I don’t think anything beats the moment Steve Rogers picks up Mjolnir and takes the fight to Thanos, wielding the shield and hammer, took the fight to this powerful villain, saving Thor.

Then comes the scene where Steve tightens the strap on his shield and prepares to be the last one standing against Thanos and his army until we hear “on your left” with portals opening up to reveal everyone in the MCU past and present, ready to fight. This scene alone is peak cinema.

Nothing will ever beat those scenes, those scenes alone are the best piece of cinema there has ever been, no one can ever doubt that for a second. It doesn’t matter if you’re a hardcore fan or a casual, everyone was excited for this scene alone.

Just listen to that audience’s reaction, nothing will ever beat that, that was pure joy, pure happiness, and just perfection. Chris Evans perfected the role of Steve Rogers and Captain America.

While I can talk forever about Endgame, we can’t put out this article without mentioning that 2 years ago today, at the end of Endgame, Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie was handed the shield to carry on the legacy of Captain America.

2 years later and 6 episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson officially became Captain America. What a story.

I can not wait to see where the Marvel Cinematic Universe goes, whether that be in movies or Disney+ series.
