Season 4 Episode 3 – “Consequences weigh on Mark. Oliver takes on a new job.”

What I Liked
1. I do like how the big topic is Mark killing the civilian that was being mind-controlled. People are obviously allowed to be disappointed and worried that he killed someone, but on the other hand, the people who are saying Mark was correct in doing what he did make far better sense.
2. Titan takes his family to the park, where he gets attacked by Magnetattack, who tries to kill him and his family. We see Magnetattack wipe out his security detail before attacking Titan, but this bloody scene ends with Magnetattack dying.
3. I do like how Atom Eve’s power issue isn’t just some side quest. It’s an actual story issue that needs to be solved. Why can’t she control her powers anymore? Why does everything she creates turn into sludge?
4. I do like how Oliver is growing into a decent hero. Knows his limits and knows when to call for backup. Seeing him try to fight the dragon that nearly killed Mark, and him needing to call for help, was really good. Some good development for this character.
5. Seeing Mark and Oliver work together to defeat the dragon was amazing, and then to see Mark lose his temper against Titan because he tried to save his family, and only stopping when Oliver told him to stop. I believe Oliver could be the moral key to Mark.
6. EVE IS PREGNANT.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be seeing the Guardians of the Globe and Invincible take the fight to the invaders who have come back to take prisoners. Seeing how quickly they prepared for Omni-Man, so Invincible isn’t as good in this battle.
Standout Character
This is a tough one in this episode. I think I’m going to give this to Oliver. Oliver, I feel like had a decent bit of development this episode.
Verdict
The third episode was not as strong as the first two episodes, but still strong enough to stand with them. While the story was not as good as the previous two episodes, the action more than made up for this. The action was great.
