Please note, our reviews are based on likes and dislikes. These contain significant spoilers. If you haven’t already watched the episode, we recommend that you click off the article and come back once you have watched the episode. Enjoy!

What I Liked

1. The opening scene. Seeing Oz’s mother slowly getting messed with by Sofia and her therapist was so intriguing. Seeing a version of her and a young Oz speak about Oz’s brothers and how she knows Oz had something to do with their deaths was so good.

2. Sofia makes both Oz and his mother reveal the truth. She knows about what Oz did to his brothers and Oz finds out that she planned to have Rex kill Oz. Sofia threatens Oz that if he doesn’t admit to his mother that she’ll have Julian cut off her pinky finger.

3. Even after admitting that she knew and that she had always hated him and stabbed him with a broken piece of glass, Oz’s love for his mother never changed and he still got angry when she passed out and managed to escape and take her to the hospital.

4. The scene with Sofia burning down her childhood home was fantastic. It’s a small scene but so chaotic and beautiful at the same time. It showcases that Sofia is truly done with that family, she’s moving on. Fantastic villain and a great portrayal from Cristin Milioti.

5. Seeing the moment that Zhao’s men turn on him and set Sofia up was fantastic. You could see it coming throughout the episode but to see it play off and see Sofia realize what she’s walking into when she arrives is perfection. Seeing Oz make the underbosses of every crime syndicate turn on their bosses was poetic.

6. Oz walks Sofia to the waterfront. She taunts him by asking has his mother told him she loves him yet. Oz tells Sofia that she’s going to hell. Sofia prepares to get a bullet to the back of the head. She only realizes what’s happening when the police arrive.

What I Disliked

Absolutely nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be at the end when Oz and Victor were speaking. This was an emotional scene from two friends, mentor to apprentice. Victor tells Oz “Thank you for taking a chance on me, you’re family”. Oz tells Victor that he can’t bring him with him this time. Oz says that family can make you weak while choking Victor out. Oz kills Victor. This is the one kill I think will play on Oz going forward.

Standout Character

Oswald Cobb, the man of the people. He takes the standout this week in the finale episode as he finally made it on top.

Verdict

What a finale, what a season. The finale episode delivered everything. From happiness to sadness to emotional. It had everything. The story was finished in perfect style while the action was absolutely fantastic. Overall a very decent episode and a great series.
