Top 5 Comic Shows I’m Excited About Right Now

5. Hawkeye

I love Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and I have done ever since his first introduction as the character. Topping on from that is Hailee Steinfield that will be taking over the Hawkeye mantle within the series which makes it that bit more interesting.

As of right now there isn’t much news, but we’re hearing that Clint could potentially become blind within the show, but whichever way the writers go I am sure it will be an absolute powerhouse to Disney+.

On top of next to no information just yet, we also don’t have a release date every sign points to the fall of 2021, or at least some point this year. Both Renner and Steinfield have been spotted filming on a few occasions so we do know that it’s proceeding as planned.

4. Superman & Lois

Tyler Hoechlin has proved himself to be a fantastic Superman in his cameo performances in Supergirl and the Arrowverse crossover events, so all in all it definitely made sense to give Tyler his own show as the character.

The show is pretty much upon us right now and the first two episodes are set to air on the 23rd of February. We know the CW has had some rocky rides with their shows in recent years, but I wholeheartedly believe this will be one of their absolute best shows to come from the network.

Here’s the synopsis for the show;

After years of facing supervillains, monsters and alien invaders, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books’ famed journalist Lois Lane come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever — dealing with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois worry about whether their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah. Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, Gen. Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice.

3. The Book of Boba Fett

The Mandalorian Season 2 finale — Disney+

Considering the masterpiece and monumental success from The Mandalorian, it’s very difficult not to get excited about this. The show was announced in the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, and we just went crazy for it.

Temuera Morrison played an amazing part in the prequels as Jango Fett and also returning as Boba Fett in the Mandalorian.

Similar to the Hawkeye show, we don’t have any information at present on what the show will be about but even the thought of this going ahead is enough to get anybody excited. We do know the show will take The Mandalorian’s usual spot of the fall, but as it’s a spin-off we do believe The Mandalorian will come almost immediately after.

2. Loki

Another one that is going to be a masterpiece, it’s obvious. It’s LOKI! Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role, and the show will go into the events of when Loki disappeared with the tesseract in Endgame. You can see by the trailer alone the amount of stuff he’s going to get up to.

We’re going to see Loki travel through time and get up to some madness, and it’s going to be glorious. This is one of the shows I wasn’t originally hyped for until the trailer released, and then my excitement just seriously peaked.

The show is set for release in May of 2021 on Disney+, so in the end, it’s only around 3 months ago from this point now.

Here’s the synopsis;

“The series takes place after Avengers: Endgame, which saw Loki steal the Tesseract during the 2012 events of The Avengers (2012), which created an alternate timeline from the main MCU films. In the seriesLoki uses the Tesseract to travel through time and alter human history.”

1. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

This is number 1 for me, I personally don’t believe I have been this excited for a series in my entire life, and the trailer proves in so many ways why. Both Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie are reprising their roles, with Daniel Brühl returning as Baron Zemo.

It’s going to be set after Endgame when Captain America passed the shield on to Bucky, and seemingly the government stripping that and appointing someone to take the shield instead.

The trailer showcases a lot of action, emotions and hilarious moments. It’s safe to say I believe this is going to be the show of the year, and that’s saying something considering the powerhouses set for release this year!

Here’s the brief synopsis;

“Falcon and the Winter Soldier are a mismatched duo who team up for a global adventure that will test their survival skills — as well as their patience.”

Obviously, there’s a lot I’m excited about including the next seasons of The Flash, The Mandalorian, Titans and others. But these are my top 5 as of right now, and this was difficult as there’s just so much quality content coming our way over the next couple of years!
