Top 5 Superhero TV Shows We’re Most Looking Forward To In 2024

Some of these shows are only anticipated to be released in 2024. We’ve checked multiple sources and it appears as of now they are slated to be released in 2024 so I’ve added them into this list. It looks to be a good year for TV and this list was a difficult one. Please note, this is my own opinion.

1. The Boys (season 4)

Release date: TBA
Platform: Prime Video

Quite an obvious one for a lot of fans. The Boys universe has become immensely popular in recent years, so much so that it has expanded into a spin-off in Gen V with more planned. I cannot wait for The Boys and Prime has done a fantastic job in bringing this relatively new comic some life but in such a good way. We don’t have a release date yet but as we’ve had the trailer, it will be coming soon.

2. Halo (season 2)

Release date: February 8th, 2024
Platform: Paramount+

Halo was a season that was a mixed bag among fans but here at OCU we absolutely loved it. We were an avid advocator for the show and defended it a fair bit. The second season appears to be getting more an more people on board and we’re happy with that. I can’t wait for the second season and I’m glad it’s super close to being released.

3. Echo (season 1)

Release date: January 9th, 2024 (originally January 10th, 2024)
Platform: Disney+

I’ll be honest, I didn’t care for Echo in the slightest when it was announced. The trailer completely changed that for me. I wasn’t expecting the brutality that came with it, plus Kingpin AND Daredevil with a hopeful Punisher cameo. I’ve got a feeling this show is really going to set the bar for the Daredevil revival show and it should. It looks great and is here in just a few weeks from writing this article.

4. Ironheart (season 1)

Disney

Release date: TBA
Platform: Disney+

Dominique Thorne nailed her role as Riri Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I’ve always been a huge fan of Ironheart from the comics so naturally I’m looking forward to a full standalone show on Disney+. As of now, we don’t have a release date but this is slated to be released in 2024 hence the reason it’s on this list as I’m excited for this to be released.

5. The Acolyte (season 1)

Disney

Release date: TBA
Platform: Disney+

The 8-episode season is only rumored to be brought to Disney+ in 2024 and hasn’t officially been confirmed yet. The show will take place 100 years prior to Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and will see the Jedi’s fall from the Sith’s perspective. For me, I am just happy to see another time period get some love in live-action as there are so many stories and lore out there that need to be explored. Whether or not this show flops, I’m thankful for that at least.

Special shoutout: Fallout

Fallout doesn’t really fall into the realm of superheroes but it does fall into the “geek” category of things so I thought I’d add this as a special shoutout because this is one of the shows I am really eager to see. I’ve been a fan of Fallout since 3 came out so to finally see this happen in live-action is going to be interesting, that’s for sure. We only have until April to wait now.
