Legends of Tomorrow “Meet The Legends” Review

Season 5 Episode 2 “Sara, Ray and Mick are shocked to discover that the Legends have become famous. It seems that everyone except Sara is loving the spotlight, so much so that they invite a documentary crew on board the Waverider to film them as they investigate a strange new blip in the Timeline. The Legends discover that their new problem is none other than Rasputin, who happens to be straight out of hell, and it might be tougher than they thought. Meanwhile, Constantine thinks he knows the reason behind these new blips and informs the team that it won’t be easy to defeat.”

What I Liked?

1. I like how the episode had Constantine doing his normal magic and trying to figure out stuff. He runs into a friend from hell who has took control of a kid.

2. Sara returns to the waverider after Oliver’s death… She returns to a camera crew which is filming a documentary. The Legends are doing a movie to see if they can continue protecting the timeline.

3. Sara gets angry that she lost Oliver and can’t even talk to her friends about that or saving the multiverse because of the camera’s. There was a hint of Sara wanting to become serious and not some celebrity.

4. Small scene I like was seeing Ray use his suit and Nate use his powers even though it was for a few seconds. They are under used on the show. Sad that Brandon Routh is leaving.

5. Sara throw’s Ray into Rasputin’s mouth and he swollows Ray causing Ray to return to normal size and essentially make Rasputin explode from the inside out. Graphic scene to be honest.

6. Constantine drinks some of Rasputin (the Legends put him in pieces in Jam Jars)… and Returns to hell but tells Sara he’ll be back once he finds out the scale of the escape from hell.

What I Disliked?

The Legends are back doing there silly stuff like being cringey to shoot a documentary. This is what is pushing me away from the show, the sillyness. It definitely needs to change.

Favourite Moment

Constantine finds out about the darkest souls escaping from Hell. Rasputin was just the first. Another magic based finale?

Standout Character

Sara, She had quite a emotional outburst in the middle of the episode which lead to a very decent fight scene.

The Verdict?

A very weak post crisis episode. One of the weakest Legends episodes to date which is very sad because the show could of been one of the most serious shows on the CW. It could of been Arrow season 1 level of seriousness.

Rating: 6/10
