What I Liked

1. Murn and Harcourt reveal that Harcourt found out after he took an explosion and had more knowledge about the butterflies than the investigation had found. Murn is basically trying to stop his people from dominating Earth. I like this twist very much, it was unexpected yet feels like it should have been noticeable.

2. The police surround Peacemaker’s trailer to arrest him. Murn rings Vigilante to warn him and Peacemaker about the police. Vigilante’s ringtone is “barbie girl”. The police raid the trailer but barely miss the duo.

3. I mean, Peacemaker is right for shouting, and swearing since the “team” won’t bring him in and inform him on Murn and everything else. I feel as though this is going to backfire on the team in the closing few episodes.

4. Annie Cheng’s performance as Sophie while being controlled is absolutely great. She’s been a stand-out in this episode. Just fantastic.

5. The suit-up for Auggie Smith as White Dragon was fantastic. Seeing the cult kneel to him when he finally dons the mask was crazy, just seeing the influence that this man has is incredible and I can not wait to see Peacemaker and White Dragon go toe-to-toe.

6. The small amount of character development Peacemaker gets per episode is amazing and such a unique way of expanding the “Chris” side of Peacemaker. James Gunn is masterful of this type of development.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favourite Moment

Vigilante falls out the tree breaking the glass jar with the butterfly in. The butterfly immediately flies into the police Detective’s mouth, causing her to lose a lot of blood framing the duo for her attack. The duo then gets stopped by two officers until the new corrupt police chief shoots them dead.

Standout Character

While it is hard not to give this to Peacemaker, I fully believe that Detective Sophie deserves it this week. Not only was her performance as Sophie great, but her performance when she was taken over was absolutely fantastic.

Verdict

An absolutely fantastic episode. This episode developed the story about the Butterflies so much that I came away needing more. The action, blood, and gore were at an all-time high. I loved everyone’s performances as well.
