What I Liked

1. Honestly, it was a quick thing but I loved it. Seeing Fury phone his wife and her tell him it’s been a long time since he rang her number and for him to turn around and say “I’ve typed this number a million times, this is the only time I’ve pressed dial” was so good and shows that he absolutely loves her.

2. Wow, Gravik reveals that on the first mission that Fury sent him, Fury told him that he had to kill this man, whom now Gravik is now using as his human identity. The man had a wife and children. Gravik tells Fury that he pimped, used, and threw them out.

3. Fury gives gravik the Harvest, we see Gravik then use the machine to give himself the powers. He then begins attacking Fury, when he goes to punch Fury, Fury stops it with his fist. We then see that this Fury is G’iah, and the real Fury is at the hospital exposing Rhodey in front of the President.

4. Fury is offering the President a one-time deal, delay the strike, and see if Fury is telling the truth, if he isn’t, he can send him to prison and do the strike. Rhodey disarms Sonya and manages to get her gun but before the Skrull can do anything with it, receives a bullet through the brain by Fury.

5. G’iah releases all the prisoners including the real Rhodey. She tells Rhodey that he’s been a prisoner for a very long time. How much time exactly?

6. The President has called for a war against the Skrulls. We then see a bunch of vigilantes killing Skrulls and humans alike because of the hit squads the President has created. I wonder how this will play out throughout the future of the MCU.

7. Fury and Priscilla head off into space for “peace talks” between the Skrull and the Kree. We get to see Fury fully embrace Priscilla’s Skrull side.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

We get an absolutely amazing fight scene between G’iah and Gravik. We see them use a bunch of powers and change their body parts into different heroes and villains that fought in the battle of Earth. We see them use Cull Obsidian, Drax, and more. We see G’iah grab Gravik by the throat and use Captain Marvel’s powers to blow a hole through Gravik.

Standout Character

I’ll give this to Fury. He outplayed Gravik, sent G’iah in his place who had the harvest, and exposed Rhodey for being a Skrull.

Verdict

Overall, a solid, but not great finale. The story ended on a very fantastic note, we got to see the true Rhodey return and the action was great. However, the finale did feel rushed. We very much dived into a quick fight with Gravik. Honestly, this finale will be hurt because people did want cameos and didn’t get any.
