The Next Arrowverse Crossover Announced By The CW

We’ve known for quite some time now that The Flash will be opening up its first 5 episodes of season 8 with a crossover event. All we really had at the time was that each episode will have someone crossing over into the show.

We never knew, however, that it would be a full-blown crossover with a fantastic lineup ahead.

So far we know of a lot of returning heroes and even villains. Here’s the list that was revealed to Deadline.

  1. Batwoman (Javicia Leslie)
  2. Atom (Brandon Routh)
  3. Black Lightning (Cress Williams)
  4. Sentinel (Chyler Leigh)
  5. Green Arrow (Kat McNamara)
  6. Ryan Choi (Osric Chau)
  7. Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh)
  8. Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough)

There’s a lot to shout about here, and I fully expect there to be more additions added to the lineup, including John Diggle (David Ramsey).

It is nice to see that The CW is still bringing back characters from shows that have ended or have ended. Including Arrow, Black Lightning, and Supergirl is ending this season.

The crossover will follow the events of Armageddon which is a comic series also. This is a mysterious alien threat that drags Team Flash to their boundaries and of course, with any super threat like this, they will likely turn to the above for help. I’m not sure how Reverse Flash and Darhk fit into that agenda, though.

Darhk is dead in the current timeline, so it does seem plausible that they will travel through time in order to prevent the next super event.

Obviously, due to the COVID19 pandemic, we had to skip out on crossovers for the current season so it’s safe to say we’re happy with the news.

The show will return on November 16th at 8 PM ET, so we’re in for a treat for the beginning of The Flash and we cannot wait!
